The team covers many types of races including the inboard hydroplane and flatbottom ACHA/CBF Championship, APBA Inboard, APBA and CBF Outboard, and APBA Vintage. We broadcast many of these events online via live streaming in partnership with APBA Inboard.
The site was started in 2000 by Christian Bergeron as a place to share his passion for the sport. It has since grown to a small team producing original photos, live streams, videos, team profiles, and news of hydroplane racing.
London-based powerboat racing promoter, Powerboat P1 has achieved the internationally recognised ISO 14001 standard which requires companies to have an environmental policy and action plan to manage environmental impact.
As a certified organization and responsible business, P1 is committed to continuous improvement of environmental performance and it is the first powerboat racing company to achieve this standard.
Some friends had trouble learning about the excitement of inboard hydroplane racing. They found it difficult to get any information on when and where the races were being held. There was very little if any media coverage on the races. There was also not much information about the rules and the general way that races are conducted. Even if they could find and attend the race, understanding what was happening proved more difficult.
It is the purpose of this site to give spectators the information that they need to find, attend, and enjoy this most exciting motorsport by informing spectators on, how the races work, how to make the most of the event and learning more about the sport!
This web site is devoted to the limited class, antique, vintage & historic hydroplanes & race boats. This website has many pages filled with photographs & boat racing stories. They are much more than just inboard hydroplanes. All vintage race boat owners & fans are encouraged to participate on this website and our sport!
