The Stuart Sailfish Regatta is established to promote and stimulate local charitable organizations, the local economy and to raise environmental awareness. We achieve these goals through collaborative community efforts to conduct sanctioned boat races and by attracting tourism to the Treasure Coast.
ABOUT THE REGATTA:
The 6th Annual Stuart Sailfish Regatta will be making waves off of the Stuart Causeway May 20th & 21st 2017. Get ready for an exciting weekend with hydroplanes, race boats and powerboats competing for prize money and bragging rights.
Organizers are planning a weekend of speed, excitement and community involvement. With increased attendance and sponsorship support, SSR plans to increase their support to the designated charities, the Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast and the US Sailing Center of Martin County.
The races will once again be held on the Stuart Causeway on a 1.1-mile oval racecourse on the northern side of the bridge. The Stuart Causeway will once again be closed to create a stadium experience.
Expect amazing activities including live music, kid zones, a swimsuit contest and the ultimate spectator viewing area on top of the bridge. Visitors can expect a new and improved layout overall and additional food, beverage and customer services.
The race is sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association. The regatta will be open to ten classes of inboards, four classes of outboards and the Powerboat P1 SuperStock Series. Some of the nation's top tier racers plus a power team of 12 or more Canadian Grand Prix race boats will bring even more adrenaline pumping action to the water.
Thank you for your interest in the Stuart Sailfish Regatta. Check our website and facebook page for updates along the way to May 20th and 21st.
